Louth Youth Darts
Although the epicentre of Louth Darts remains with the senior
team – Louth Youth darts is providing many fine ripples throughout Local level
and indeed National level. A fine crop of players have formulated together from
Drogheda and Dundalk to create a very competent and skilled team(s). This year
2013-2014 will produce, without question, one of the best Louth Youth teams to
travel to the Inter-counties in many years. Not to outshine the previous entries
but the amalgamation of Louth as a whole has become a beacon of light for Louth
Youths.
This, coupled with plenty of experience gained by the expert
tutelage of, Owen Caffery, John O Brien, David Raith and many more, have seen
Louth Youths travel from tournament to tournament in Louth and Newry and the
length and breadth of the Country gaining more and more valuable experience at
the Oche. Here is our current list of Players from Drogheda and Dundalk for any
up and coming challenges and our main event in March 2014
Ciaran Treanor
Mark Connolly
David Lamb
Robert Connolly
Paul Maguire
Jack McKenna
Jack Hoey
Steven Kells
Nathan Lamb
Keane Barry
David Andrews
Shannon Wilson
Steven Finnegan
Jason Dullagan
Killian Farrell
Aaron Finnegan
Jason Finnegan
Dillion Mackin
The CLDO are hopeful that more players will be added to the list
as we are only at the half way point for the County trials. Every player under
18 may come alone to the trials as two teams Louth A and Louth B will be created
– each I am sure will be blistering with talent. Many of the above players have
made their names known at local level and some at National level which is
wonderful for Louth darts. PLEASE NOTE THE LAST LOUTH TRIAL - DECIDED BY THE CLDO HAS ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW

Dundalk Conglomerate Sponsorship Group
What the Logo will look like with some of the interested parties/Companies (All to
be confirmed
Indeed Sponsorship is a hard thing to achieve when it hard for us
as a small community of dart players – by this we mean the players that have
made the county teams and not the 400 plus dart throwers in Dundalk and Drogheda
and 900 plus in Newry. Travel expenses and tournament fees are but some of the
tolls taken against our Youth side – not to mention darts tops and logos to be
put on them. Our belief is that if we can put a list of potential Companies
under the one banner and all give the same smaller amount towards the cost of
sending our Youths to the Inter-counties which is held every year and some to
the individual/INDO (Irish National Darts Organisation) events and hopefully
abroad to the British Isles etc. Last year in the O2 in Dublin some 9,000
spectators attended the event which is dramatically showing the growth of darts
in many Countries. There are many strict rules and procedures that must be
adhered to unlike 20 years ago. Above is a SAMPLE of the Dundalk Conglomerate
Sponsorship Logo. Please note that Company names are set to change as we
articulate the potential list.
Darts has also a very good standing with the Local Papers like the Argus, Democrat
and Dundalk Leader along with some Local Drogheda Papers since the re-emergence
of the Dundalk and District Darts League (DDDL) and the County team a few years
ago. The County Website has been getting hits around 2,000 a month off peak and
around 5,000 hits during trials and exhibitions
