YOUTH TEAM(DUNDALK) 2012/13
The Louth Youth Darst team that will be travelling to the Youth Inter-County Championships this year had their first Challenge against a selection of The Dundalk Youth Dart Academy and it was a great start for the County Team. First off for the County was Robert "Fud Light" Connolly who played against his long time rival Dylan Mackin. After a close and exciting game Robert set the County Team off with a 1 nil lead by taking the match 2 - 1. Next saw 2 brothers battle it out, Nathan (Louth) and David (Dundalk) Lambe played another great game with Nathan edging off his Brother 2 - 0 to leave the game at the same score. Bringing a win in for the Dundalk Youth was Darren Hillard who after a recent 164 Checkout beat Louths Youngest Player Jack "McKenzer" McKenna. The Score was 2 - 1 in a race to 4 for victory, so next stepped up Ciaran Treanor and Dean Crawley. In a very close match with several missed double attempts Ciaran put the game to bed with a great Double 16. 3 - 1 to Louth. Seeing that only one more win was needed Stephen Finnegan stepped up to the Oche against Mark "Fudweiser" Connolly. Stephen truly showed us why he was our Youth Champion with a 180 and an 85 finish. An impressive win for the Louth Youths with both James O Connor and Jason Finnegan both also sealing victories for a 6 - 1 over all finish.
