Mcnamees in Knockbridge was the stage for the latest county team outing last night. 14 games in all and some crackers in there. John Donnelly took out county champion Owen Caffrey 2-1 in the opener, to put Mcnamees 1 up. David Rath , Chris Murray and Gerry Rice all returned a 2-0 victory for the county. Bob Hilliard clocked up the second win for Mcnamees, beating Derek Hernon 2-1. Ollie Thompson, Joe Finnegan and Carl Thomas brought the county back in line, all with convincing wins which left the score at 6-2. David Sharkey made it 6-3 giving Mcnamees there last win of the night. John Donnelly(now with the county shirt on), Alan Reenan, Gerry Rice(2nd time in ), Ray Makenna and once again Joe Finnegan brought the score to 11-3 in favour of the county.
The crack was great all night , the grub was great as usual in Mcnamees.
The new set up in the lounge was very impressive.
